How to get the Hope Scholarship!


The applicant must be planning to attend the College on a fulltime basis in a nursing program and maintain a full course load with the goal of meeting the eligibility criteria to take the state of Florida NCLEX exam.

To qualify for the scholarship an applicant is required to complete the application described in the next section. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident with a valid permanent resident ID card or current passport. Applicant must demonstrate a financial need to initiate their post-secondary education.

To maintain the scholarship a student must maintain a minimum un-weighted GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale and have successfully passed the standardized examination at the completion of each quarter. Scholarship applications may be obtained from the administrative offices of the school. The deadline for receipt of scholarship applications is 30 days before program start date.

The Scholarship’s Application Process

Applicant must submit the following items:

• Completed application form (if handwritten, please print legibly)
• Two (2) character references in the form of a letter of recommendation
• Submit a completed application along with an essay of no less than five hundred (500) words that describes their contribution to society in the health care field and why becoming a nurse is important at this juncture in their life how this scholarship would be beneficial.
